We closed out our “summer weddings” with Alaina and Jared at Crooked Lake House. It was with out a doubt a fun one to capture. Not to mention this couple made it pretty easy for us too. I really love shooting wedding photos at the Crooked Lake House!
It was an early start for us on the morning of September 1st 2013. 10am to be exact! Nothing a little Starbucks and Red Bull couldn’t fix though. In the house that morning was a face I like to see, Miss Katie O’Malley. I LOVE when you brides and grooms spoil us with day of coordinators! Also in the house on this one was the fellas of NuVue Cinema who posted 23 lovely seconds of Alaina and Jared’s sparkler exit.
Once our bride, Alaina was dressed we all headed to Siena College to the presidents home for a first look, our group shots and of course some fun shots of the bride and groom!! It was a hot one out there and I pretty much sweated through my shirt before their mass. Thankfully, they tied the knot at St Anthony’s in downtown Troy which is like 5 minutes from my house and I had Kris Ann bring me a new shirt! After the ceremony we were off to The Crooked Lake House. I love this place. I love the people who run it and I can’ t wait to get back there and shoot again. DJ Music Man Mike Garrasi was on the 1’s and 2’s and rocked the Crooked Lake House so hard it wasn’t crooked come 9pm. Which brings me to their sparkler exit. So fun! I loved this. Great way to wrap up a fun wedding.
Alaina and Jared, thank you both for having us. We enjoyed meeting the family and all your friends. I wish you the best for all the years ahead and hope to see you around the hood (they live around the block from me). Keep smiling and rump shakin’
