To say I was a little worried about the weather on Friday August 10th would be an understatement. Lets face it, we’ve been spoiled rotten this year with weather. Yeah its been ridiculously hot at times but rain was never a problem. On my way to the Desmond I was wondering what to do for photos? Sure we could have shot inside the Desmond in the courtyard and all but that wasn’t the plan. The plan was to head downtown and capture that kind of vibe. So I thought about it and knew of a couple locations that were covered downtown and would work. What I didn’t know was how was Meredith doing with the rain and all that. When we showed up to the bridal suite the energy level was high and I asked Meredith about her thoughts, she said “I trust you and will do whatever.” I love my brides!! Without skipping a beat we got her dressed and headed downtown and did our thing. It even stopped raining toward the end of our session and we were able to shoot without coverings over us!! The moral of the story is go with your gut and when it rains, embrace it and find a solution.

It was then back to The Desmond for their ceremony. The room filled with guests and we regrouped to capture their ceremony. It was cute, with readings from kids books too! Then it was cocktail hour and the room was transformed by Anthology Studio. DJ Nate from  Conway Entertainment took the mic and the party was officially underway. As soon as dinner was over Meredith and John hit the dance floor and never left it. The dance floor was packed not only because of the great music but because the bride and groom were dancing all night. I can’t tell you all how important it is to have both the bride and groom dancing! Plus I get some great pics too! Meredith and John, I can’t thank you guys enough for choosing us to capture this special day for you! I’ll be seeing you at your resturaunt Garden Bistro 24 for sure! Keep the love strong!

Peace,
JP
