Katie & Jon’s Hall of Springs Wedding Photos
For the second time this season we shot back to back weddings at the Hall of Springs. Today I'm sharing Katie and Jon's stunning wedding photos! So lets sit back, relax and jump into this one...
Katie, Jon their families and friends locked down the Batcheller Mansion Inn for the weekend. When we arrived at 11am the ladies from Strut Spalontique were in the house and had their hands full with a bride and 13 bridesmaids! I can’t even imagine how early in the morning beauty started for this one but I hope they all had their red eyes from Starbucks 😉 And because one Katie just isn’t enough, we also had the awesome Katie O’ and her team running the show. I love having team KOWE in the house! While we’re talking about awesome people I love working with, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the man, Al Woodard on the motion side. This is a fella who is great to have by your side when you’re out there getting creative with a bride and groom. Now it was time to get our stunning bride into her gorgeous gown. Once we shot all those getting ready pics we quickly had a first look with Katie and her Dad before heading to the church.
After their ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Ballston Spa we quickly banged out like 4 extended family group shots outside the church before heading to Congress Park with over 30 people that all needed to be photographed! Talk about kicking it into overdrive and going for it. We seriously cranked those photos out! After all the group combos it was time for some Katie and Jon photos. Congress Park was looking GOOD too! Next stop Hall of Springs. When we arrived we knocked out the largest bridal party photo (28 people) yet this season. The party was now in the hands of Garland of Soul Session and they smoked this one!
I want to add when Katie found out the Dave Matthews Band would be playing at SPAC she emailed me with great concern (much like Kelly + Andrew and Melissa and Cory). Rather than emailing her back I called and talked her “off the ledge” (as she put it). As you can see from their photos on the Spa grounds there was no sign of any concertgoers or anything. I can now confidently say to any bride with any concerns about DMB playing at their wedding JP – 3, DMB – 0. We’ve shot weddings 3 times and not once was it an issue. BOOM! I do however feel a little bad for those who have to deal with the crowd Phish brings 😉
Katie and Jon, thank you both for trusting us with your big day. Working with you guys was a real treat and didn’t even feel like work. We wish you the very “best of what’s around” 😉 I also wanna thank my boy, Evan Pierce for coming along and helping out too. May 2014 is a wrap!

During our vendor meal we popped outside to listen to a DMB song or two and bumped into two different (both October) Elario Alumni from left to right, Tim + Melissa (2008) and (2010). Couples that listen to Dave together “Stay” together. Oh come on, that was a good one!! 😉The Hall of Springs ballroom
